In short: We use cookies to keep ZipTo secure, remember your preferences, and — only with your OK — understand how you use the app and show you relevant ads. You're in control: manage your choices any time via Settings or our cookie banner.
1. What This Policy Covers
This policy explains how ZipTo uses cookies and similar technologies (such as SDKs and mobile identifiers) on our website and app, why, and how you can control them. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy. "Cookies" below also covers equivalent technologies used in the app.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples / Providers | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Let you log in, complete payment, and keep the site/app secure. Can't be switched off. | Session/login cookies; Cloudflare security; Stripe fraud-prevention | No — essential to the service |
| Functional | Remember your preferences and support on-site forms. | Brevo (email capture/forms); language or currency preference | Yes, where not strictly necessary |
| Analytics / Performance | Understand how visitors use our website and app so we can improve them. | Analytics tools (to be confirmed) | Yes |
| Advertising / Targeting | Measure and target advertising, including on social platforms. | Ad pixels (to be confirmed) | Yes |
Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically. Everything else is only set once you've given us the OK via our cookie banner (website) or first-run consent screen (app).
3. Managing Your Preferences
You're always in control — change your cookie choices any time:
- Website: use the "Manage Cookies" link in the footer to reopen the consent banner.
- App: go to Settings > Privacy to update your analytics and advertising choices.
- Browser/device: most browsers and mobile operating systems let you block or delete cookies in their own privacy settings.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website or app working, including login and checkout.
4. Advertising Identifiers on Mobile
If you use ZipTo on iOS, we'll ask for your permission before accessing your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), in line with Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements. On Android, you can reset or opt out of ad personalisation in your device settings.
5. How Long We Keep Cookies
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser or app. Persistent cookies remain for a set period (typically between 30 days and 24 months depending on the provider) or until you clear them manually.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. We'll post the revised version here with a new date, and ask for fresh consent where required by law.
